Funding for the 2026
Thanksgiving Blessing Bag Event

Here is our plan for the 2026 Blessing Bag event. Each Blessing Bag will include:

• 1 $15 Butterball Gift Check usable at local groceries for meat purchases

• 1 can of turkey gravy

• 1 can of cranberry sauce

• 2 cans of green beans

• 2 cans of corn

• 1 package of instant mashed potatoes

• 1 package of turkey stuffing

• 1 pumpkin pie

• 1 yellow cake mix and 1 container of frosting

We can purchase all the food items from Gleaners for under $10 per bag. Combined with the $15 gift check, the total cost is just $25 per Blessing Bag.

Supporting Room to Rise

This year, rather than asking for separate donations to cover the cost of the Blessing Bags, we're inviting everyone to make their Blessing Bag contribution toward the Room to Rise campaign.

We'll use our existing savings to purchase the food and gift checks. This approach allows us to provide Blessing Bags to families in our community while continuing to maintain a healthy savings balance ahead of our next fundraiser in May.

How You Can Help

Blessing Bags will be packed on Thursday, November 19 and distributed to the community on Saturday, November 21.

A $25 contribution helps one family prepare a home-cooked holiday meal to enjoy with family and friends. Please consider making a contribution to the Room to Rise event in support of one or more Blessing Bags.
